The metaphysical nature of how we manifest our reality
Put basically, the repressed stuff in our psyche will show up in a million different scenarios until we are finally ready to face it.
What does it mean for something to be repressed? It means that we have pushed it down in some way. The automatic negative connotation here is a flawed assumption.
When life is lived unconsciously, what this amounts to is chronic repeating painful lessons and experiences – a life defined by hardship and struggle as we push away the very insights that would set us free. Life is not designed to be lived in this way, it is a choice, and knowing that is empowering.
There is another option, which is to choose to consciously engage everything we encounter as an opportunity to experience greater and greater illumination into the nature of our own Being – the mystery of our divinity in all of its miraculous manifestations.
It is the psyche that governs the quantum-mechanics of how our personal universe is assembled around us. We cannot be in a position of true freedom until we are ready to claim this very large realisation completely. Equipped with this understanding, there is no perceived experience so shattering that it cannot be a gateway to indescribable revelation, a portal to enlightenment, encoded within us directly and uniquely.
There is a common conception in the spiritual community that where painful experience manifests in our lives, what we are looking at is our “shadow”, yet what is not understood is that shadow in its larger sense is the Luminosity of our greater being that is unexpressed. In other words, it is our unexpressed potential. Being the opposite of light, it is an “unreal” phenomenon – where what is truly real is beyond the illusion of opposites. Our true Self cannot be divided into this vs that, what we are vs what we’re not.
Shadow is our unexpressed potential, in the same way that light that forsakes its denser counterpart within the human kingdom is likewise unexpressed potential – both casting life in darkness. Light without its humanity is half an existence. Shadow therefore is not the undesirable aspects of Self, but the greater majesty that we have cast out, believing it too wonderful, too magical, too absolutely breathtakingly fragile and beautiful to be wholly and truly and completely loved by us.
This is a whole lot more empowering than the belief that the pain we experience in some way is indicative of “what is bad within us”. It is what has laid in darkness surrounding the divine potential of our humanity, and that is all – nothing more, and nothing less. It is the seeds of our divinity slumbering in the ground. But all seeds, given the right conditions, must eventually spiral forth into their greater destiny as flowers and trees of every kind – bridging both worlds, right on time. Metaphorically, we are to become so both that we are neither; a holy paradox of contradictions. This is the true potential of our humanity, and what I have chosen to dedicate my life to achieving.
The shadow that we cast is indicative of shallow beliefs about our own capacity for love, how much of it we can contain, how fully we can be opened before breaking – all illusions when we are Infinite and Infinite Life is Love itself. The phenomenon of shadow cast by unexpressed potential, and all the resulting pain, trauma and anguish, only exists in a reality of polarity – where One is two and everything is just a little bit backwards. We are truly capable of moving beyond this reality into a new one now.
In the reality of duality, whose energy source is polarity – energy generated by movement between two poles – the psyche is composed of a series of mirrors, and the tension sustained by the back and forth interaction through them is how we survive. What we assemble therefore as our reality in duality will be an environment of mirrors. These mirrors will show us a twisted image of our Luminous Wholeness, and more often than not we will be tricked into believing what we see. In contrast, the way out of this conundrum is through evolution of the psyche. As we evolve the psyche, our reality changes from a reflected environment to a lucid expression of the purity and perfection we can now choose to see.
To become the conscious dreamer implies profound healing of the psyche, a huge task to understake, and yet entirely possible for every lifeform. All potential is available, and supported, as we move towards ever-greater vistas of deeper refinement cosmically. We are diamonds in the night sky – and the journey of illumination is the journey of perpetual polishing, of cleaning away the ages-old grime to reveal the brilliance that is inherently there. We are already all we can be, all that remains is to discover it.
Aspects of the psyche, frozen in trauma of age-old illusions, appear fractured to us, and in many cases it may seem impossible that we might derive any sense of wholeness from such a distorted image. I truly understand this. The key to evolving the psyche that it is not only possible to heal the appearance of the fractures but to see beyond the mirror as if it never existed – lies in the mystery of the sub-personalities.
These latent powers, representing the directions, and forming the mirrors of a polarised reality when not fully claimed, are the most exciting revelation to come forth in this new age. Much will be shared going forward on the epic potential of understanding them.
